I teach technology at Lowry Elementary School. Lowry is located in one of the newest neighborhoods in South-East Denver. We have very diverse population. Approximately 15% of our students are English Language Learners. More than 8% are Special Ed students. Thanks to the local community support at Lowry we offer vast array of special, challenge, and enrichment programs. We have full time librarian, full time high gifted and talented teacher, full time technology teacher, full time art teacher, and half time music teacher.
My objective is to create a technology curriculum that meets the specific needs of our students. At the end of the school year majority of my students will reach proficiency as effective technology users and quality producers. They will understand the concepts of copyright, plagiarism, and Internet safety.
My curriculum is based on the Elementary – DPS ILT Proficiencies and the Progress Report Indicators

The time frame and the intensity of all units and activities are unified with my schedule, quality and quantity of the available hardware and software.
In my schedule I have a designated time for extra classroom activities related to the classroom curriculum.
